Posted by AMX on 07:10:2001 04:40 PM: a good cheesy cable Posted by GeekBoy on 07:10:2001 05:25 PM: Cable/Invincible AAA Posted by bluelizard on 07:10:2001 08:32 PM: thanx Posted by slimenim on 07:10:2001 10:30 PM: invincible aaa is a useful strategy, but is only a tool. you still need some kind of offense to play bh and sentinel. mags can play sentinel pretty good, he can dash out of bh aaa and rushdown sentinel. cable w/ aaa can also play sentinel. bh is a little different cuz mags has trouble with bh cuz of jumping hp and rh demons. a good counter team could consist of mags, cable, cammy or ken. cable, doom, cammy, ken, or capcom. your best bets are mags, cable and invincible aaa or commando or doom to stuff capcom. Posted by Avanti on 07:10:2001 11:22 PM: Hello, Another option is Captain Commando. His anti-air assist, if gauged properly, can completely hose the Sentinel assist. It'll also bring Blackheart back to the ground or make him more cautious. If Sentinel is the point character, Sentinel will be compelled to choose his attacks carefully because the corridor is capable if hitting his limbs. The entire point of having Commando as an assist is to prevent the trap from being executed. He won't win the game single-handedly but he'll allow you to find the openings you need. Whenever the corridor connects, you should apply an ample amount of pressure so the trap can't be setup. This could vary on your playing style. Don't rely on the Captain too much because if the other player catches on, he might try to bait out the Captain and focus on him. Watch Commando's health bar closely. Cable would be a good counter for the trap when he has meters, but if Cable has less than two meters, Cable might have some problems. This isn't entirely new or totally enligthening, but I hope this helps a little. Umm, are you sure that you've seen the Sent/BH trap ? Captain Commando is almost useless unless you play rushdown (and if you can do that against the Sent/BH trap you don't need CapCom anymore). There aren't any limbs imvolved in the Sent/BH trap unless you mean Sent doing a rocket punch (which he won't if he has you trapped). If you're talking about the stomp trap, CapCom will certainly help (unless your opponent has read unflying article, in which case CapCom will actually become a hindrance). The best ways of hosing the Sent/BH trap would be the following: 1) _very_ good Iceman (superjump after the mouth laser, airblock the BH assist, icebeam downward) 2) B Jugg assist, preferrably glitched jugg (block the drones, call Jugg, who won't be stopped by the mouth laser or the BH assist) 3) Another B blackheart, then team him up with a powerful beamer as point (AHVB, anyone ? actually Cable can play all by himself) 4) play fast character, preferably with airdash, like magneto or Storm (leave behind the BH assist and whack both Sent and BH) 5) play teleport character (Strider is the best choice, since Spiral has a long recovery) -- used properly, you can teleport leaving behind the BH assist then whack both Sent and BH 6) Heck, even Jill and Sonson can get into the act. Simply slide under the mouth laser -- with luck you can OTG both Sent and BH. Posted by flesh~n~bone on 07:15:2001 01:36 AM: blackheart sentinal~ All times are GMT. The time now is 09:07 PM.
